So let it be written…

So let it be done.

It’s been nearly two years since the last time we’ve played in Columbus, so call out the stops, break out the bubbly, rosin up your bow, put on your goin-out shirt, and hoof it up to Used Kids. It’s time to give folks a live listen to Dead Knowledge, along with good pals Brian Harnetty (who helped arrange and conduct strings on DK) doing his own brand of sound scraping, Parker Paul (who is a maniac on the keys a la Garth) who has recorded in the past for the fine Jagjaguwar label. Adam from the mighty Necropolis will man the wheels of steel, some mariachi/nortena guys may show up, we’ll be projecting some 16mm films from the vaults. And it’s free.

Picture Day

School picture day was always one of those hit or miss aspects of being a teenager/tweener/kid. Now it seems like the dorkier the photo the better. Awkward school photos make for better memories.

Here’s a thumbnail from picture day at Moviola practice. Taken by our good friend Jim Burgoon, and shot on the Mershon Auditorium stage.

Dead Knowledge – Cover Art

Just imagine this letterpressed (by the fine folks at Stumptown), on chipboard, and overprinted with an out-of-wakk rubber stamp (on the dvd versions). The other three panels rule, too. Once again, by Greg.

Dead Knowledge iz coming

While it’s nothing approaching the Murdoch-owned lameness that is a myspace page, consider this locale to be Moviola HQ for the near term. Random postings on a new Moviola record coming out on Catbird Records in May ’07 (Dead Knowledge), and soon after that, another new platter of singles/rarities from the catacombs out on Spirit of Orr (Broken Horses).
